In 2017, surveys were conducted in Denmark, Sweden and Norway to identify the current need and future challenges in IT skills. The purpose of this summary is to highlight the challenges that exist in the TechNordic countries. By looking at what similarities and differences we have to tackle in common. DigIT Handbook, 2019 (in Swedish) -  Ett exempel på hur vi i Norden skapar intresse bland barn och ungdomar för teknik, naturvetenskap och digitalisering.

DigIt is a school project at Universeum where students' task is to solve real assignments with the help from technology and IT. The assignments are produced by the companies that enter the project as partners. Students present their ideas and solutions with the help of a film, a descriptive text and oral presentations on the final day. The approach is based on entrepreneurial learning and trains students to take initiative, responsibility and put ideas into action. It challenges their curiosity and creativity and promotes the ability to make decisions, communicate and collaborate. Read the full report here.

International Collaboration to Strengthen the Nordic ICT Region

Recent figures show that the tech industry in the Nordic region is outpacing the rest of Europe when it comes to attracting investments. Under the name TechNordic, the three Nordic information and communications technology (ICT) clusters BrainsBusiness, Business Region Göteborg and ICT Norway will collaborate to further strengthen the Nordic ICT sector across the Skagerrak.

- Under the name TechNordic, we will seek to position and brand the inter-Scandinavian ICT region for the benefit of both business and research. Together we are in the top three in the world with unique competencies within some of the areas that both the industrial sector and consumers demand most of all. This includes areas such as Internet of Things, embedded systems and wireless technology, Helena Peyron, Co-Cluster Manager at BrainsBusiness, explains.
